Shipping -- Within US

Shipping is based on the items ordered, but most orders ship for between $6 and $8 by UPS Ground or FedEx Ground in the continental US. All orders to post office boxes and Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO and Puerto Rico addresses will go by the US Postal Service, typically costing in the $11 to $15 range. For the exact shipping price, please add the desired items to your cart, select your destination ZIP code and address type, and click Recalculate.

Sales tax of 6% will be added to the total price (including shipping) for North Dakota deliveries.

For orders of more than 10 calculators shipped within the continental US, there may be additional discounts. Please contact me for details.

Shipping -- Outside US

International rates vary greatly depending on the product and the destination country, as well as the desired shipping method. To determine the exact shipping price, please add the desired items to your cart, select your country from the list, and click Recalculate. For your convenience, some sample rates for one calculator, including insurance, sent via the US Postal Service, and in US dollars are in the table below.

Please note that the US Postal Service has raised its rates, effective May 12, 2008, so any rates quoted before that date are no longer accurate.

The differences between Priority Mail and Express Mail are as follows:

• The US Postal Service estimates 4-10 business days transit time for Priority Mail and 3-5 business days transit time for Express Mail.
• Priority Mail includes insurance unless otherwise specified; Express Mail always includes insurance.
• Express Mail is more secure, including step-by-step online tracking.
• Express Mail is sometimes subject to additional customs fees in certain countries. Please check your local laws if uncertain.

The shipping times given by the US Postal Service tend to be underestimated. Even Express Mail generally takes at least a week. Also, once the package reaches your local post office, they may hang on to it for a while before notifying you of the arrival, which would add to the transit time. These delays are beyond my control.

The calculators I sell have warranties in the US. The warranty may or may not be valid in other countries. It is your responsibility to determine whether the warranty is valid in your country. In the past, I have personally handled warranty claims, but due to a large number of problems (with the claims, not with the calculators) I will no longer do this. I apologize, but I can't afford to do this any more.

Also, some foreign postal services, particularly those in the European Union, tend to reject packages for no apparent reason (usually claiming the address is wrong when it is right), causing them to come back to me. If this happens, I am not responsible, because it is your responsibility to provide me with a valid shipping address to which international shipments can be made. I would have to ask for postage to be paid a second time if you want me to try again.

Payment

I accept several methods of payment.

PayPal payments (which allow Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover) can be made to commerce@hpcalc.org. The easiest way to pay by PayPal is to use the shopping cart above, using the "Pay Online" option.

I also accept checks (drawn on a US bank and in US dollars) and money orders (in US dollars). Upon receipt (and clearing, if necessary) of the check or money order your order will be processed. Other forms of payment, such as Western Union and bank wire transfers, can be arranged on a case-by-case basis. For any of these forms of payment, please use the "Pay Offline" option in the shopping cart.

Sales are not considered to be placed and are not final until I have personally approved them. If a sale is rejected, usually due to incorrect shipping calculation or to an item being unavailable in the desired quantity, payment will be refunded in full.
